Sprouts Go Green relaunched our website with a sleeker and cleaner look. We continued to develop new t-shirt designs and write blog posts about ways to go green.
Our Founder studied Sustainability in college and participated in local volunteer opportunities to reduce food waste and compact inequality. She interned and ran the social media for her university's Office of Sustainability, creating accessible and educational content about recycling, composting, and reducing waste for students on campus.
Sprouts Go Green ran an Earth Day activity at the local library, educating young children about going green and making eco-friendly crafts.
We participated in a local green event, with a booth selling our t-shirts, hats, aprons, and re-useable tote bags. The money raised was donated to the World Wilde Fund for Nature.
Sprouts Go Green donated the profits from online sales of eco-friendly merchandise to various charities.
December 2012: SproutsGoGreen.com was redesigned and relaunched with a new and fresher look. The new website is full of updated content and pictures of nature.
November 2012: Both "Color the World Green" and "Are you Green enough?" phrases that appear on our eco-friendly t-shirts became registered trademarks.
January 2012: 'Sprouts Go Green' became a registered trademark.
After the county's annual Eco-Rally, at the Eco-Rally Ceremony, I received a Leadership Award from the Girl Scouts for my efforts to preserve the environment through Sprouts Go Green. We were featured in The Patch, a local NJ website.
May 2010: Sprouts Go Green participated in a Local Charter Day event, selling eco-friendly clothing, tote bags, hats, and a new addition, aprons, raising money for the Nature Conservancv.
September 2010: Sprouts Go Green was recognized by the Girl Scouts at their first ever Green Gala event. This event recognized many leaders who are making a difference in the environment, as well as my sister and I for our efforts as Girl Scouts to help the earth through Sprouts Go Green.
November 2009: Raising money for a local elementary school Learning Garden, Sprouts Go Green participated in a School Holiday Boutique. At this event, we introduced our latest eco-friendly apparel: hats.
Sprouts Go Green applied for and received a second grant from our town, which was used to purchase large recycling bins in order to establish a recycling program for a local school.
May 2009: We participated in a local Charter Day fair, selling environmentally friendly t-shirts and tote bags. The profits from this day were for establishing a local elementary school Learning Garden.
November 2008: We participated in a local environmental event in town, raising money for the New Jersey chapter of the Nature Conservancy, which protects conserved land to help the earth and surrounding wildlife.
Sprouts Go Green applied for and received a grant from the community to continue our efforts in developing education programs for children about going green.
September 2008: At a local Grateful Green Concert and Expo, Sprouts Go Green was among the 33 vendors participating in this event dedicated to raising awareness for the environment. Sprouts Go Green held a booth selling t-shirts and handing out flyers, raising money for
the Nature Conservancy. We were featured in The Bernardsville News, a local New Jersey paper.
July 2008: This was the first launch of the website for Sprouts Go Green!
